You are right. programming the uart sounds very
feasible for s-link.

Have to check the possible uart freauency
configurations. I don't think an exact frequency is
necessary.

For transmission, the uart seems unecessary. PIO plus
a timer interrupt should be sufficient.

s-link is also a one wire bidir connection (5v open
drain)

So there should be no problem implementing the
protocol with the archos with a direct cable
connection.

s-link seems to be much richer than m-bus. it support
cd-text. so it should be possible to display things on
the head unit. ;-))

Just have to buy one changer pilot and begin
