So, just for the hell of it, I decided to try and flash my FM Recorder using the previously described flash method (except after flashing the main one, flashing the rockbox.ucl for the fm recorder. This *almost* worked :-)

What happens is, If i press and release the on button, it turns on until i release the on button, at which point it turns off. If I plug in the USB, it stays on with a blank screen. Every time it starts to come on, the drive spins up as well. If I hold F1 down, it displays the Archos booting screen, but only gets about 1/4 of the way through the progress bar and just stops. Connecting USB and doing this also produces the same results.

Needless to say, I'm returning this to where I bought it under the no-questions-asked warranty replacement program :-)
