Subject: Trimming an MP3 file
From: Johan Vromans (jvromans_at_squirrel.nl)
Date: 2003-06-19

[Okay, maybe it's slightly off-topic. But there are a lot of MP3
 experts here...]

I've got some MP3 files that all start with 50ms of silence. Since
they form one contiguous piece of music, I want to get rid of these
pauses. I've tried some popular tools (audacity, mp3trim) but they all
seem to require decoding/encoding of the MP3 file, and I'm afraid this
will affect the audio quality.

Do you MP3 experts have better suggestions?
TIA
