Just an addendum, the batterie-faq does not cover that topic.
I left mine on this night with connected USB and connected DC, my computer
is always on.
When I tried to use it, batterie was down to 9% and jbr rebootet everytime
the HD turns on.
Now its loading rather slowly, going up from 8% to 10% in an hour. But does
not reboot any more, if HD starts to spin.
